General Information

1. What is the PNB Corporate Internet Banking System (CIB)?
   The Corporate Internet Banking (CIB) is a facility wherein clients can securely and efficiently take control of their corporate finances through the Internet. It also allows the user/s to manage multiple employee access to accounts in accordance with internal policies.
    
2. Why should we use PNB Corporate Internet Banking?
   PNB Corporate Internet Banking offers you the following benefits:
    
   
   • Convenience
     Manage your day-to-day banking transactions using REAL-TIME information and access your company’s financial position anytime, anywhere via the internet.
      
   • Security
     Data integrity and confidentiality are ensured through the use of an online browser security (Verisign) and in-house developed security infrastructure (firewalls). Only authorized users can access account information.
      
   • User authorization/transactional limits
     PNB CIB allows you to manage multiple employee access to accounts and define approval rules based on your internal policies for processing different transaction values for added security.
      
   • Reduce Operating Costs & Increase Efficiency
     Decreases error rate by use of automated processes, thus reducing the company’s operational and administrative costs.
      
3. What service offerings are available with CIB?
   With PNB Corporate Internet Banking, you can do any of the following:
    
   
   • Access your company's account information - REAL TIME.
   • Request for copy of the company's bank statement which can be sent through email or for pick up at the depository branch.
   • Reorder checkbooks online (available for corporate current accounts in Philippine Peso currency only)
   • Sweep account balances from your sub-accounts to a parent account
   • Transfer funds to your own account or a 3rd party account
   • Submit your payroll, ADA, credit or debit instruction to PNB
   • Pay your company bills to accredited merchants
      
4. What are the fees for transactions made through CIB?
   Transactions are subject to the fees and charges indicated in the Memorandum of Agreement executed between PNB and the client.
    
5. Does PNB provide any document as proof of  transaction?
   A Transaction Reference Number for every request shall be issued by CIB to serve as evidence of the transaction. You may copy this number to serve as your record, print the acknowledgment page itself or opt to have an e-mail notification sent to you.
    
6. What are the accounts that can be enrolled and accessed in CIB?
   To enroll in CIB, you need to have any of the following:
    
   • Savings Accounts - Regular/Passbook Savings, PNB Prime Savings, PNB Dollar, PNB Euro
   • Current Accounts - PNBig Check, PNB Combo, Executive Checking, PNB Greencheck
   • Investment Accounts - Regular Time Deposit, PNB Savings, Wealth Multiplier, PNB Greenmarket, Euro Time Deposit

   *** Please note that only accounts maintained in the Philippines can be enrolled in CIB.
    

7. Can single proprietorship and partnership accounts be enrolled in CIB?
   Yes. Sole proprietorships (with more than one signatory) and partnership accounts may also be enrolled in CIB.
    
8. Can the access of a user be cancelled in case he leaves the company or changes positions?
   You may request amendments such as cancellation of access by submitting an accomplished Corporate Internet Banking Maintenance and Cancellation Form to your maintaining branch. Amendment will take effect within three banking days upon receipt of request.

How to Access PNB Corporate Internet Banking

1. What are the minimum system requirements to access PNB Corporate Internet Banking?
   Personal computer (recommended minimum Pentium III)
   Windows 98, 2000, NT, XP, 2003
   Internet Service Provider connection
   Modem (56 kbps speed)
   Browser (Internet Explorer version/s 5.0, 5.5, 6.0 and 7.0)
    
2. Whom can we get in touch with if we already want to enroll in PNB Corporate Internet Banking?
   You may contact your depository branch or account officer handling your account for application. You can also get assistance through our Customer Service Representative through telephone number 573-8888 or you may send an email to ibs.mail@pnb.com.ph.
    
3. What is the application procedure?
   You will have to submit to PNB a duly signed Memorandum of Agreement and a Secretary's Certificate stating that your company's Board of Directors has approved the availment of PNB's internet banking modules. A properly accomplished Corporate Internet Banking Enrollment Form should also be attached. Upon submission of these required documents, the account shall be enrolled by PNB.
    
4. How long will the enrollment process take before we can use PNB Corporate Internet Banking?
   Enrollment will be completed within 2 banking days from receipt of all required documents. PNB shall notify your authorized representatives once enrollment has been completed.
    
5. What is the maximum number of users for CIB?
   There is no limit to the number of users a company can assign to use CIB.
    
6. Can we still transact using Corporate Internet Banking  after banking hours or even at night?
   Yes. CIB is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
   
   ***Please note that due to the maintenance of other systems that internet banking interfaces with, off-line conditions may be realized from time to time.
    
7. Can all users have access to the enrolled accounts of the company in CIB?
   Access to the accounts will be identified upon enrollment. Once the necessary authorization has been provided to the user, he will be able to view the account.
    
8. How do I log in to PNB Corporate Internet Banking (CIB)?
   Go to the PNB website at http://www.pnb.com.ph and look for the “Sign in to your account” section and click on the Corporate Banking tab. The CIB logon page will be displayed where you will be prompted to enter your User ID and password. However, before you can access CIB,   you need to install security plug-ins. This is required on your first log-in or on succeeding log-ins using a different computer. The system will no longer check for the required security plug-ins during subsequent log-ins using the same computer.  Please click here for the procedure on how to download the security plug-ins.
    
9. Can we access PNB Corporate Internet Banking even from outside the Philippines?
   Yes. As long as you have access to an Internet connection and a computer with the necessary system requirements, you can access CIB from anywhere in the world.

1. How far back can we inquire on the company’s past transactions?
   You may view your past transactions by up to thirteen (13) months back for savings account and three months for current account.
    
2. Can we print statement of accounts directly from our computer via CIB?
   Yes. You can download and print a listing of your transactions via CIB under the Accounts Inquiry module.

2. Will PNB provide us a copy of the official receipt for every bills payment transaction we do via CIB?
   The Transaction Reference Number issued by the CIB facility at the time of payment shall serve as evidence of payment. It shall be the responsibility of the Payee Institution/Merchant to send an official receipt to the client.

Transfer of Funds

1. Can we transfer funds to any other PNB account?
   You may transfer funds to the company’s enrolled account or to enrolled 3rd Party Accounts. You may transfer funds immediately, on a future date or on a recurring schedule (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually).
    
2. Is there a limit to the amount of funds transfer?
   There is no limit as to the amount of fund transfer you can make as long as your account balance is sufficient (net of uncleared funds and amount on hold). However, approval of funds transfer requests will depend on the authorizer’s transaction limit as specified in the enrollment form.
    
3. Can we transfer funds from our peso account to a dollar account and vice-versa?
   At present, we only allow fund transfer transactions between two accounts of the same currency.
    
4. Can I transfer funds to accounts maintained at other banks?
   Inter-bank funds transfer is not available as of the moment.

Other Services Offered

1. Can payroll files be uploaded through CIB?
   As a better alternative to the submission of the payroll diskette file to the branch, you may submit payroll, ADA, credit or debit instruction files to PNB via CIB by following the prescribed format. The file should be submitted at least one banking day before the processing date. A Reference Number for every successful upload shall be issued by CIB to serve as evidence of the transaction.
    
2. What is account sweeping?
   Account sweeping is an automated multi-funds transfer service via CIB - from the company's Satellite Account/s to the Mother Account and vice versa.
    
3. Can account sweeping be made between accounts of different currencies?
   No. Sweeping relationships and instructions between accounts of different currencies are not accepted in CIB. The Mother and Satellite Accounts must be of the same currency.
    
4. How long are we going to receive the checkbook/s we ordered thru CIB?
   You may drop by and claim the checkbooks at your depository branch after three (3) weeks from date of request. Your authorized representative should bring valid identification documents and letter of authorization to pick-up the reordered checkbooks.

Problems Encountered and Actions to be Taken

1. What should we do if a user gets his UserID locked?
   After 3 consecutive incorrect attempts, your access to the facility will be locked. To unlock your access, your company should submit to the branch a letter request or an accomplished Corporate Internet Banking Maintenance and Cancellation Form signed by the authorized signatories.
    
2. Whom shall we contact if we have other concerns or encounter problems using CIB?
   You can call our Customer Service (Mondays to Fridays from 8am-5pm) by dialing our phone banking number (632) 573-8888, select option 1 or 2 for Taglish or English, then press 4 for Internet Banking and other Electronic Banking Products Inquiry. You may also email us at ibs.mail@pnb.com.ph.

About Security

1. How secure is PNB Corporate Internet Banking?
   PNB ensures that all your online transactions are protected using the following security measures:
    
   
   • Use of online browser security - Verisign
     This gives information on the website you are visiting to verify if it is safe and secure before you provide any sensitive data in the internet.
      
     
   • 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption
     128-bit is the most widely used security layer in the internet today. It converts data you entered into a string of unrecognizable characters when transmitted to the internet, thus keeping account information secure between the bank’s computer system and your browser.
      
     
   • Firewalls
     PNB makes use of firewalls to protect our Corporate Internet Banking system from hackers and viruses.
      
     
   • Corporate User ID and password
     Each corporate user shall be authenticated via a User ID and password before being allowed access to the PNB Corporate Internet Banking facility. Make sure that you don’t share this information to anyone.
     
     In addition, multiple log-ins for the same User ID is not allowed.
      
     
   • Session timeouts
     If your session is left idle after a prescribed time of inactivity, the system will ask you to re-encode your password before you can resume your session.
      
     
   • User authorization/transactional limits
     PNB CIB allows you to manage multiple employee access to accounts and define approval rules based on your internal policies for processing different transaction values for added security.
       
     
   • Audit trail
     All your transactions made by all your authorized User(s) are automatically logged in the facility. This allows you to monitor all activities and approved transactions done through PNB Corporate Internet Banking.
