Five convenient ways to send money to the Philippines!

I. Walk In

Visit our office (maps & directions here) and transact directly with the teller (Over-the-Counter)

Fill in our Application for Remittance Declaration form (for pre-registered/existing clients).

For New Remitters, fill in the Remittance Membership Registration form and submit a valid identification card plus My Number.

Remit your funds Over-the-Counter, and your beneficiary will immediately receive your remittance, if sent to a PNB Online Account (Current Account, Savings Account, Global Filipino Card).

II. Ginko Furikomi Remittance (Bank Transfer)

Transfer your money to our account at Mizuho Bank (formerly Fuji Bank). Please follow the procedure below:

  1. Register first by mail with PNB Tokyo or PNB Nagoya. Send in a completely filled-up Remittance Membership Registration form (Click here to download), and a copy of your valid identification (see list) plus My Number.
  2. Go to any Japanese bank.
  3. Give the teller, or input into the ATM machine, the following details:
    For PNB Tokyo Branch:
    Bank Name: Mizuho Bank - Kamiyacho Branch
    Account No: 2467369
    Name of Account: Philippine National Bank Tokyo Branch
    Type of Account: Ordinary (Futsu)
    For PNB Nagoya Sub-Branch:
    Bank Name: Mizuho Bank – Nagoya Chuo Branch

    Type of Account: Ordinary (Futsu)
  4. Call us, send a fax or fill in the online form to inform the details of your remittance before 3:00 p.m., so that your remittance can be transacted within the same day.

III. Genkin Kakitome Remittance (Post Office)

Send in your remittance using the registered money envelope (genkin kakitome) from the Post Office.

Please follow the following procedure:

  1. Get a registered money envelope (genkin kakitome) from the Post Office.
    1. Enclose your money in the envelope together with a completely filled up Remittance Membership Registration or Application form plus My Number
    2. Remittance Membership Registration or Application form and a copy of your valid identification (LINK TO VALID ID)
  2. Bring the envelope to the Post Office and send it to our address. No need to call and inform us.

Note: Please include the remittance charge in the envelope. Please refer to Table of Charges (link)

  • The maximum amount insured per envelope is 500,000 yen.
  • The envelope is delivered to PNB usually the next working day.

IV. Mizuho Virtual Access

A simple and more convenient way to send your remittance thru Bank Transfer. NO NEED TO CALL, FAX OR EMAIL your instruction. Please follow the following procedure:

  1. Fill out an application form. Application form accepted in person or by mail only.
  2. Your application will be processed and details of your Virtual Account number will be sent to you. You may be contacted if further verification is needed.
  3. Receipt of your Virtual Account number will now allow you to transfer funds through Japanese Banks’ ATMs or over their counters.

V. Postal Link

A cheaper and faster way to send your remittance thru Post Office. Please follow this procedure:

  1. Fill out an application form. Application form accepted in person or by mail only.
  2. Your application will be processed and your Postal Link Remittance Card will be sent to you. You may be contacted if further verification is needed. Processing of application normally takes 1 week.
  3. Receipt of your Postal Link Remittance Card will now allow you to transfer funds through Japan Post ATM or over their counter.
  4. Fund transfers at Japan Post Banks ATMs are only up to 100,000 yen per transaction. Fund transfers of over 100,000 yen are transacted over-the-counter of Japan Post Bank.

  6. Main Features of Postal Link

Easy to use at Japan Post Bank ATMs all over Japan.

Convenient. No remittance instruction is needed once registered with Postal Link. One Postal Link Card for one Beneficiary. Postal Link Card is free for the first 5 Beneficiaries. JPY500 for subsequent issuances including replacement of lost or damaged cards.

Cheaper. Domestic transfer is as cheap as JPY125 for transfers at ATMs and JPY220 at the counters. Over JPY50,000, JPY345 at ATMs and JPY440 over-the-counter (charges are subject to change by Japan Post Bank).

Faster than using Genkin Kakitome (Money Envelope)

SAME DAY CREDIT on the following schedule:
Fund transfers made at Japan Post Bank from 8:00AM to 11:30AM on banking days will be processed after 3:00PM on the same day.

Next Banking Day Credit:
Fund transfers made after 11:30AM until 7:00PM or at the latest hour of 9:00PM and Saturdays after the 11:30AM cut-off, Sundays, and Holidays will be processed on the next banking day.

Sunday Processing
Fund transfers made after 11:30AM to 9:00PM on Fridays and from 8:00AM to 11:30AM on Saturdays will be processed on Sundays.

For Philippine bound remittances, applicable to Global Filipino Card, PNB Online (PNB Savings and Checking Accounts) including former Allied Bank Accounts and Advise & Pay over the counter in Peso only.
