Welcome to Boracay!

In recent years, Boracay has undergone a rehabilitation program to preserve its pristine beauty. The local and national governments have partnered to make changes that would make Boracay better, but the people’s warmth and generosity are still very much felt in the island.

Boracay is synonymous with beaches and the island has garnered multiple international awards for travel, leisure and relaxation. When touring Boracay, I recommend that you try beaches such as White Beach, Station 3 (Back Beach), Ilig-Iligan Beach, Puka Beach, and Bolabog Beach.

Boracay is not wanting in great food. You can feast on Mexican-Filipino food at Maya’s Place, have the delicious four-cheese pizza at 2 Seasons Beach Resort, or enjoy the buffet at Hennan. If you’re a brave soul, you can try stuff that are uniquely Boracay such as sasing (worm-like delicacy) and the tinumak in malay (coconut and shrimp in banana leaves).

Before any other bank saw Boracay’s potential as an economic hub, PNB already established its roots as the first commercial bank in the island way back in December 22, 1995, providing financial services to customers and paving the way for Boracay to become the tourism treasure that it is now. Apart from the regular banking transactions, the branch now also offers cash management solutions to institutional clients. Tourists who travel to this premier destination can also enjoy premier service from PNB.

Puka Beach

The second-largest beach in Boracay is called Puka Beach (or Puka Shell Beach). It is a haven for everyone who has a penchant for hidden, secluded tourist spots. Puka Beach is proof that despite the vast commercialization of Boracay, there are still places on the island that are well-preserved.

Henann’s very first beachfront resort in a prime location is at Station 1 Boracay. This resort is comprised of 50 world-class guest rooms in the beach wing and 104 rooms in the east wing, with a modern coastal design. It also features Henann’s signature rooms with direct pool access where one can just step out of the room and into the pool. If you’re not a pool person, the grand room with one of the best sea views anywhere would be a perfect choice. For the foodies, the Sea Salt features one of the most delectable cuisines in the island. The modern and eclectic vibe of the place makes everything fun and relaxing at the same time.

Mayas Filipino and Mexican Cuisine

The restaurant’s history can be traced back to 1982, the same year when Jony’s Fruit Shakes was established. Mayas Filipino and Mexican Cuisine was named after the local bird maya, and the indigenous people of Mexico, “the Mayans”. The family-owned business highlights Chef Jun Salme’s Filipino dishes including Mayas’ Chicken Inasal and Mayas’ Lechon Kawali. For Mexican flavors, it is highly recommended not to miss Tacos Al Pastor and Canitas Burrito.
